All natural Canadian beeswax pillar candle :)

I am a big fan of all natural beeswax candles, because they are the non-toxic choice to enjoy candle lights. So when I see this nice size beeswax pillar candle available, I ordered it for our candle lantern that I placed next to our fireplace. So far I am loving it! :)This Canadian beeswax pillar candle is made in premium quality all natural beeswax. When I took it out the box, the beautiful beeswax scent immediately filled the air…very light and beautiful. The size of this pillar candle is in the good size for a ground level floor middle size candle lantern. It would be also looking great inside a large candle glass jar. To light it up, I simply trim the cotton wick down a little for a nice evenly burn. The flickering candle lights that penetrates though the thin layer yellow beeswax wall is absolutely beautiful… it gave me a really nice, calming and peaceful feeling at night.Overall, this is a beautifully crafted premium quality beeswax pillar candle. I love it and I do highly recommend it!

Warm rich honey Canadian made beeswax candle

This candle has the loveliest natural warm honey beeswax smell! This is how you know a beeswax candle is top notch quality. It is a smaller pillar candle than typical but just as beautiful and burns well without making a mess or smoking.I love that it is Canadian Made and that it comes from a small beekeeper farm that uses sustainable practices. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a high quality beeswax candle with that true divine warm honey smell!

Mesmerizing to watch the steady flame

This Pure Canadian Beeswax MaxiPillar Candle is the third style of candle I've received from Canadian Hive.I find the candle mesmerizing to watch burn since the flame is so steady and the burning is so clean. It is perfect for meditation. The candle arrived safely packaged and comes with clear instructions on how to get the most even burn out of it. I've learned I've been burning candles 'wrong' for years now! It isn't as if I didn't have a wick trimmer, I just never bothered to use it.The plastic container around the base allows one to use a variety of candle holders or ceramic plates. It is a pleasure to support a Canadian company when their products are so high quality.

Clean burning, beautiful Canadian made candle.

After trying this Pure Canadian Beeswax pillar candle and overall. One thing I noticed is that it burned fairly quickly - faster than I expected. That said, the burn itself was very clean. There was no visible smoke, no soot, and no mess. I also liked that it does not have that typical strong beeswax scent. In fact, the fragrance is extremely faint- almost non-existent. Ideal if you are sensitive to smells. When lit, it looks great. The warm glow is soft and cozy.I always like to support Canadian companies when I can, and it feels good knowing this is a locally made product.Overall, it is a great pillar candle.

I LOVE this brand and every single candle product they make!!

I’ve been buying beeswax candles from this brand ever since I discovered them and I’m genuinely obsessed. They're a small Canadian business, and you can tell by the quality of their candles, and even the packaging feels thoughtful and intentional. They’re handmade in Québec with 100% Canadian beeswax and cotton wicks. The wax has a deeper yellow/orangey tone than most beeswax candles I’ve bought, and I actually love that. It looks rich and natural, not pale or overly processed. The scent is also unreal - it’s that strong, warm, slightly sweet natural honey smell that only real beeswax gives off. no synthetic fragrance, just pure beeswax. These burn super well and consistently too - the wick is perfectly centered, which is a detail I pay attention too since I’ve had so many candles tunnel or burn unevenly when the wick was off-center. This one burns super evenly, no weird leaning melt pool, and no wax leaking down one side. It’s basically no-drip and very low smoke too. once you switch to high-quality beeswax like this, it’s hard to go back. Definitely a staple in my home now.

Premium candle with great smell and locally made

In this day and age with everything going on, i get an extra sense of pride when I see quality Canadian products. It’s more important than ever to support Canadian people and businesses. This candle is no different, you can feel and smell the quality thats in it. The candle itself really feels like just a solid block of beeswax.Candles are one of those items that are great for emergencies or to help soothe your mood. I’ve been using it under a candle warming light next to my work desk and it’s been a nice aromatic treat to get me through a stressful day while i deal with a cold. That being said, it’s priced quite high but you probably get what you pay for. It’s quality is certainly in line with a premium product that you’d expect to pay a premium for, it’s really just a matter of whether you are willing to spend that amount on a candle that will eventually run out. For me, I’ll be using it sparingly to try and make it last as long as possible since i really enjoy it.

Top Tier Beeswax Candle + Super Long Burn-Time + Smells Heavenly

This is the fourth type of beeswax candle I have ordered from Canadian Hive and I am a *big* fan.All of their products are thoughtfully packaged and arrive with a sweet little thank you note from the makers (and the bees!)Previously I have tried Canadian Hive's tall tapers, two types of tealights and votives - all of which are stellar but this pillar candle is next level.~ Foremost - the scent is incredible - as soon as you open the box you're met with that sweet, luscious beeswax aroma - which is just intoxicating.( I'll never understand why people would want a 'scented' candle when beeswax smells so delicious! )The wax itself is made by Quebec bees who collect wildflower nectar and i swear you can almost smell the flowers in this candle ~it's just absolutely heavenly scent.I only burn beeswax candles because they are 100% natural and actually have therapeutic properties ( due to the release of negative ions - which, in effect, cleanse indoor air by neutralizing pollutants, allergens, and airborne toxins..)Most candles are filled with nasty and harmful synthetic fragrance so for scent-sensitive individuals - these are a superior choice. One of the best parts about beeswax is the warm glow they give when you burn them - even a single candle can create a cozier ambience. This pillar candle comes in a plastic base which is something you do not often see with larger pillars of this nature... I appreciate this because it means once you've burned the candle all the way down to the base you effectively still have a giant tealight! In my experience high quality beeswax candles burn for a very long time -This pillar claims to burn for over 40 hours - which is exceptional if true!My experience:~ Their votives burned for roughly 12 hours initially - and then another 4 after being extinguished and re-lit.~ Their tealights burned for about 6 hours (the one with a plastic base burned longer than the metal tins...)~ I have yet to burn this pillar candle all the way - but when i do i will come back and update my review.TIP from a beeswax candle lover:If you want to ensure stable, longer burn times try storing your beeswax candles in the fridge or freezer - I find this really helps extend the burn time.It should maybe be mentioned as well that online markets are now full of 'fake' beeswax (which is essentially a petroleum-derived wax that is meant to mimic the properties of natural, real beeswax ) - so if that's something you're concerned about - these are absolutely *not that* - they're the real deal. These are top quality beeswax candles. Consistently good with every product i've tried. What I love the most is that you can tell these were made by hand, by people who hold reverence for the bees who create the wax. You can really feel that in the end product and in my opinion this makes such a difference in quality.Excellent product - all of the stars!

Really nice beeswax smell

The first thing you'll notice is the smell. It's a lovely, real honey scent, not artificial at all. The wax itself is quite soft, so I'd be careful about leaving it somewhere warm before you light it. It almost feels like it will melt in your hand it's so soft.I’ve found it burns really cleanly. Just be sure to keep the wick trimmed and let it burn for 3 or 4 hours at a time to prevent that annoying tunnelling in the centre (it recommends this in the instructions). No smoke or drips, as long as you keep it out of a draft. When it's lit, the scent is very subtle. It just makes the room feel calm and fresh. It’s a well-made candle, but you do need to handle it more gently than a typical paraffin one because of that soft wax.The internal packaging is nice enough that I'd consider it giftable but it doesn't indicate what's inside aside from a sticker.

Beautiful, all-natural burn, but priced at a premium

This is a beautifully crafted candle that delivers exactly what you want from a high-quality beeswax product. It looks great as a decor piece, and the natural aesthetic fits perfectly into a calming, minimalist space. Here is a breakdown of the experience and how the value stacks up:Scent and Burn QualityThe smell is fantastic but very subtle. Because it is completely free of synthetic fragrances and chemicals, you just get that gentle, naturally sweet honey aroma that pure beeswax is known for. It burns exceptionally clean with the 100% cotton wick, producing practically zero smoke and avoiding the harsh chemical off-gassing you get with cheap paraffin candles.Market Comparison: Is the price justified? The most glaring drawback here is the cost. Pure, locally sourced Canadian beeswax is always going to be a premium commodity, but at $39.85 for a single 225g (roughly 2.5" x 4") pillar, the price is undeniably steep. When comparing this to the broader artisan candle market, similar 100% pure beeswax pillars in this exact weight and size class typically retail closer to the $20 to $30 CAD range. In fact, looking at this brand's own product lineup, they offer a 2-pack of their slightly smaller "MidiPillars" for the exact same $39.85 price tag. You are definitely paying a top-tier luxury premium for this specific "Maxi" size. The VerdictIf you want a chemical-free, perfectly clean-burning candle to purify the air during meditation or relaxation, the quality here is flawless. However, due to the higher-than-average price point for its size, it feels more like a luxury gift item rather than a daily-burn candle you would keep stocked in the house.

Natural Beeswax candles with a great scent and made in Canada.

Despite the fact that there are many options that are now available to replace burning candles, there is still nothing nicer than having a real candle burning. I saw these beeswax candles that are made in Canada, and I wanted to give them a try.The candle arrived very well packaged. It is 100% beeswax with pure cotton Wicks. This makes for a very natural candle with no artificial colours or chemicals. The candle is very easy to light. I really like the fact that it gives off almost no smoke, and it is dripless. This is a feature of 100 percent beeswax candles. The candle also has a very subtle sweet scent to it. It is not an overbearing scent that we often see with artificially scented candles.I am very happy to see that these candles are made from 100 percent Canadian beeswax from Canadian farms and are handmade by Canadians. For me, it is very important in this day and age to support our local companies and products. Also, being Canadian We know that the candles are well-made and exactly what they say they are. This candle looks very nice and gives off a very nice glow. It adds a very fresh scent to the room, and I am very pleased with it.I am very happy with his 100% beeswax made in Canada Candle. It is very well made, it gives off a nice scent, it will last up to 40 hours, and it is made in Canada.I do recommend this to anyone who likes to burn candles, keeping in mind that you always place your candle safely away from children, pets, and flammables.

Actually Feels Luxurious

I got this beeswax pillar candle partly because I try to prioritize Canadian products when I can, and this one immediately felt much more high-end than the average decorative candle. The candle itself looks and feels very luxe. The beeswax has that rich natural look to it instead of the overly processed shiny finish some candles have, and the subtle honey scent is really pleasant without smelling artificial or overpowering. It gives off a warm cozy glow that works really well for quiet evenings or just making a room feel calmer.I also like knowing it’s handmade in Québec and supporting a smaller Canadian business instead of another generic imported candle brand. The overall presentation and quality definitely reflect that artisanal feel.Very happy with it overall. It feels like one of those little upgrades that makes a space feel warmer and more intentional without trying too hard.

Described accurately buy the seller and arrived as promised. Pure local Canadian beeswax and not a Chinese knock-off. These candles burn very clean and long and have an amazing scent. I had them blessed and now keep them as my prep candles for the 3 days of darkness prophecies. I plan on ordering more & Highly recommend.

Smells great! Burns a long time.

This candle is amazing quality. It burns for around 40 hours. It would be great as an emergency candle, or for everyday burning. It is smokeless and drip-free. I love that it is nontoxic and far healthier to burn than your standard candle. It is made of natural ingredients. It even has a cotton wick and is primarily made of beeswax. I appreciate that this is handmade and supports a small Canadian business. I love that these keep the environment in mind, and are a great option if you are eco-conscious. I also love the scent as it burns! It is pleasant and subtle.

Canadian Company and Product

I've ordered other candles from Canadian Hive, and loved them. Just like those candles, this one's great too! It's absolutely beeswax and smells amazing when unlit. When lit, I don't notice a smell (not a bad thing). It gives a good amount of light off, as well. I've been happy with the burn time and haven't had any issues with wax spillage when burning.I will mention that I love their packaging for their products. Candles come in a cardboard box and are wrapped in paper, and that's it! There's no plastic involved at all, except in this candle's case, the plastic removable bottom. The price point might scare a few people off, but as a beekeeper myself, I know how laborious extracting beeswax can be. Knowing that, and that it's a Canadian company, I'd have no problem paying $39 for an eco-friendly, handmade candle.

So far it performs as described. High quality all around. Pleased with candle.

I really had to research what made a good quality candle before writing this review. I really dont know the qualities of a good candle beforehand, but apparently these are some things to look for:-Cotton or wood wicks that are well centred-Even burn without tunnelling-Lack of soot production.-Quality wax such as soy, beeswax, coconut. So far, this is only the second bees wax candle I have owned. I do love the natural colour of these candles, if they are indeed not coloured with dyes. This one says dye free.So for the price of this candle, one would have to expect extremely high results in the above categories. For wax quality, Im sure most of us appreciate true bees wax as a quality ingredient sustainably harvested. And this candle checks the wax type tick box.For how clean it burns: so far, so good. I have seen no black smoke or soot buildup from this candle. For wick: well they list it as cotton, and while I have no way to prove that, it certainly does seem like what it is made from. For burn time: it does seem to be burning quite slowly. I found this true of the other bees wax candle I ordered. So this may be a nice feature of bees wax. I could see that beeswax likely would not have volatiles that would evaporate off quickly. More chemical based candles could potentially have this resulting in faster burns. For tunnelling: Tunnelling is going to take some time to evaluate since this candle burns so slowly. Currently the melt does seem to be concentrated at the centre, and that suggests that tunnelling may result. If it does end up with significant tunnelling, I will edit my review. I have a sneaking suspicion it is going to tunnel slightly. For scent: I was expecting a natural beeswax scent which would have been a comforting smell. Unfortunately there doesnt appear to be any scent at all (which it does state in the product description). So I wont deduct marks for this since I dont know if beeswax is supposed to have a natural scent when melted. And some people may prefer unscented. So far I am quite pleased with the results of this candle, and beeswax candles in general. I currently have no reason to remove any stars. If tunnelling is significant, I will definitely remove a star. If it is minor, I will keep the 5 stars but state 4.5 stars. Overall, I have no negative experiences with this candle to date.Edit: after some time, the melt did indeed spread out and tunnelling did not occur. So I am happy with my 5 star rating. I needed to edit my 5 stars again since it didnt seem to hold. However, another good indication for this candle which wasnt present in some later bee wax candles I ordered was the plastic protector arount the base to prevent the metal wick disc at the base of the candle from scratching your furniture.

Missing most of the order.
