This beeswax is amazing - it smells fantastic, is a Canadian product, contains no additives, and was completely pure when melted down, no particles at all. It melted smoothly, and comes in convenient small blocks that melt quickly with no need to chop off chunks from a huge block. It is completely uniform throughout the bar.It does come in a resealable package. I can’t imagine needing it, however. There is so little in the package that is unlikely there will be any left over. There really isn’t enough to make more than one decent sized candle or a handful of tealights. I made 4 food wraps before I ran out. For the price, I would like to see more in the package.

I really like this natural wax, and I love supporting a Canadian company that uses Canadian bees to make it's products. This package of 100g is pretty small, but if you're making small batch items like your own cosmetics or beeswax food wraps, then this is a really good product to go with. I love that it's cosmetic-grade wax and it's pre-portioned which makes breaking it down for recipes much easier. Personally, I plan to use it to make my own lip balms, so I don't really need a bulk quantity. If you're looking to make soaps and candles, this might not be enough even though the quality is amazing.

It has the warmest honey smell that a true beeswax should have and a dark rich yellow colour.The chocolate bar design makes it perfect for making cosmetics or small candles like tea lights. The pieces break off easily and makes it very easy to use. You also get quite a bit in this package too.I love that it is made in Canada and that the company practices from a sustainable matter that protects the bees.You won’t be disappointed in this companies products - highly recommend for a true pure honey beeswax!

I love Canadian Hive. Always great beeswax products from them. The colour of this 100% pure beeswax is a warm amber gold, the texture is soft and workable, and the natural honey scent is noticeable.The chocolate bar mould format is practical as we intend to use these in making salves. The scored sections break cleanly so you can measure and use exactly what your project calls for without guessing. They come in a resealable kraft paper bag which keeps the rest fresh between uses. Shows someone thought about how this actually gets used.The wax is carefully filtered, and sourced entirely from Canadian beekeepers. Quebec wildflowers, specifically. Matters if you're making lip balms, skin products, or anything that ends up on or near your face, where the purity of ingredients is important. The natural honey note it releases while burning is subtle and warm, nothing synthetic.At room temperature it's a bit tacky, so having a covered work surface would be ideal.

This is the 7th time I have ordered products from Canadian Hive and I am a *big* fan.All of their items are thoughtfully packaged and arrive with a sweet little thank you note from the makers (and the bees!)Previously I have tried Canadian Hive's candles (tall tapers, votives, tealights ) - all of which are absolutely stellar... and this bar of beeswax is clearly of the same quality and calibre.~ Foremost - it smells incredible - as soon as you open the bag you're met with that sweet, luscious beeswax aroma - which is just intoxicating. The wax is made by Quebec bees who collect wildflower nectar and i swear you can smell the flowers in these ~ just absolutely heavenly scent.My intention for this wax is to use it in a therapeutic botanical skin salve that i make - which means the purity of the beeswax needs to be next level, and because it's from Canadian Hive i knew it would be.Standard beeswax that's 'technical' grade for candles etc. typically still has propolis and other debris in it which is filtered out in a cosmetic grade wax like this -Cosmetic-grade beeswax which i assume is highly filtered and purified (so i know it's safe for skin.)If you want to go max purity with candle making -this would also be stellar for making your own little candles with - and if you're planning to do that and want to make a big batch - you might want to order a big larger of an amount as i would estimate this package would make maybe 4-6 small tealights.( With 100 grams of beeswax, you can typically make 4 to 6 standard-sized tealights, depending on how full you fill the cup.)In my experience with Canadian Hive made beeswax candles- they burned for a very long time - their tealights burned for about 6-8 hours.It should maybe be mentioned as well that online markets are now full of 'fake' beeswax (which is essentially a petroleum-derived wax that is meant to mimic the properties of natural, real beeswax ) - so if that's something you're concerned about - this are absolutely *not that* -it's the real deal. Top quality and consistently good with every product i've tried.What I love the most is that you can tell - even with this beeswax bar - that their products are hand poured, by people who hold reverence for the bees who create the wax. You can really feel that in the end product and in my opinion this makes such a difference in quality.I can't wait to use this in my skin salve recipe!Excellent product - 5 stars.

I’ve bought a bunch of beeswax candles from this seller over the last while and every single one has been amazing and super consistent, so I finally decided to try the raw beeswax itself. Really happy I did. All their stuff has that warm, naturally sweet honey scent that real beeswax should have. it smells more natural than a lot of other beeswax products I’ve tried. The colour is also gorgeous, like a rich deep yellow. I bought this mostly to make my own candles so I can mix in a bit of lavender, but I also want to try making a balm with it. It melted down really easily and evenly, which made the whole process less intimidating haha. I also appreciate that it’s fragrance-free and doesn’t seem to have any weird additives mixed in. Just clean, pure beeswax. The little chocolate bar shape/chunks are actually super convenient too because you can break off exactly what you need instead of dealing with a giant block. Definitely recommend if you’re into candle making, balms, soaps, or crafts in general. You can tell it’s good quality.

The yellow-brown wax is synonymous with what you would expect from beeswax, and the entire presentation is fun and homey and simple, which I prefer to more colourful or flashy marketing.The wax itself is the real deal; authentic, softer wax that you know will burn long and full, and comes with the traditional slightly sweet smell of honey still, though it is faint. I would never go back to regular white wax candles after using this wax, it just seems and smells healthier and should absolutely last longer; if you were to melt this into tea light candles for example, you would easily get an hour or more candle, as beeswax performance has always been better from my experience.I noted the brand uses recycled paper also, which is a nice gesture to the environment, certainly. 5 star product.

Although advertised as fragrance free, when you open these up, you get a very strong aroma of natural beeswax. It is free of additional fragrances, but the beeswax smell is very strong. When the bag is sealed, you can't smell it at all. The beeswax is very tacky, so make sure you have a prepared work surface before using as you'll need to clean any areas where you rest this on afterwards.It is a very good quality product, you can tell just by looking and feeling and smelling it. Unlike their candles, these are much paler in color, but have the same feel and texture and aroma. This is very clean burning.

This is a really nice beeswax to work with!It came in a fully sealed package in new condition.The package is nice, though you will have to break some of the pieces to get it to fit back inside once open.The quantity is accurate to the weight listed on the description.In terms of quality, it has a good honey smell, and a vibrant yellow-orange colour to all the pieces. I like the chocolate bar molding, as it's super easy to break up pieces, and they melt much faster than when you break up large blocks of beeswax to melt.I would happily continue to use this in handmade products!

I got this beeswax to use with Ukranian egg making. I simply melt the wax and draw it on the egg for my design. I really enjoyed using this beeswax as I know it's no toxic, has little to no smell and it works so well. It's really the only type of wax I use.It has many uses, some may use it for candle making as well. Happy with this product and would purchase again. The price is similar to other beeswax blocks.
